One of the things that most struck me earlier this year about Gloria Steinem’s take on travel was her argument that the U.S. is an incredible and worthwhile place to explore.
That sounds kind of obvious — all of us Americans have probably seen cool places and plenty of foreigners go out of their way to visit — but the U.S. nevertheless sometimes gets overlooked. When someone asks me about my own travels, for example, my instinct is to immediately talk about Europe or South America or something.
That’s why I love the Vines below; they offer quick glimpses into absolutely stunning places in the U.S. They also serve as a reminder that sometimes the best travel experiences require the shortest trips.
