We recently wrote about the ghost town Nelson, Nevada. The town sits in a vast red canyon just off the Colorado river, and it’s filled with wild west ruins, defunct mines, and a collection of rusting treasures.
In particular, the Eldorado Canyon Mine Tours has a collection of carefully curated rusted out cars. Here are some of our favorites (click to enlarge):
The cars were in varying states of restoration (or, more often, decay), and spanned much of the first half of the 20th Century. One of the most interesting things was seeing how they had been modified; in one case, for example, someone had turned a VW bus and bug into a trailer.
