America’s St. Patricks day parade takes place along 5th Avenue in New York City. It began on March 17th 1762, which is before we were even a country. I attended it this year and got a prime spot away from the crowds near the very end of the route. It was a wonderful whirl of tin whistles, bagpipes, kilts, and flags.
