A journey begins long before stepping out the door and into the unknown. Instead, I think, it begins on the page, or the screen, or with whatever tale sows the seed of wanderlust in our minds. I once visited Bruges, for example, after first learning of the city from In Bruges. I once spent two months backpacking through England because of English literature. The inspiration to travel, in other words, has to come from somewhere.

That inspiration can come from books and movies and stories shared among friends. And, perhaps, it can from from tiny videos that offer the briefest of glimpses into the destinations we’ll visit, someday:
