We just checked in at the SLC airport. We have 2 hours until our flight leaves (first we fly to Dallas, then on to Sao Paulo).

For me, this airport is almost nostalgic because a few years ago, when I could fly for free, I flew practically every other weekend for months. Durning that time I felt like an expert traveler (sort of like a less jaded, happier, budget version of George Clooney in “Up in the Air).

That experience came in handy today, when the security line labelled “expert travelers” only had a couple of people in it, but the line for “casual traverlers” wrapped around all over the place. It made me realize that then first step to being an expert traveler is knowing when you can get in the really short, fast line.

Anyway, I mostly wanted to post our first blog from “the road,” as well as test out SLC’s free wifi.
